Aging in a young city

When we think of New York City, we think of a metropolis full tall buildings, busy streets, honking taxis, and young people, wide eyed, trying to make it. But we often forget that among them are the elderly – a rapidly growing population who have their own specific needs, knowledge, and lifestyles. According to the Department of Aging, New York's elderly population rose  12% in a decade and is projected to grow another 35% by 2030. But who are they? This series of day-in-the-life videos tells the story of six New Yorkers navigating the city at over 80 years old.
